Comcast Technician installed a “line limitor” for the 3rd time in 6 years on my Internet line. The first time it was because they said, “your modem is causing noise on the line!’ I was the Chief Information Officer for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, DC, so I understand technology and networking there, in the private sector, and my own business for more than 30 years!I decided to rent the Comcast/Xfinity modem from them, so no more finger pointing and blaming my equipment. That lasted a few years, then I find out that they did it again in August 2023, this time saying they are getting noise from my network. NEVER did they call, e-mail, knock on the door, US Mail, text message, etc. to let me know there was any issue. I called in to get technical support help and even their technical team didn’t know that their field service team installed this “limitor” as there were no notes on my account. I schedule them to come out and they park up the street from my house (this video) for about 5 minutes and drove off without calling, getting out of the truck, etc. I call their office and get told he marked the account as “nobody home” and that I would have to reschedule at the bottom of the line for the next available service window 2-3 days later! The Technician LIED and the video proves when he arrives and left with no leaving his truck!
